Bathtime

Now that Miles can sit on his own, we figured he was ready to start taking big boy baths with his brother. Thursday night was their first bath together. Miles loves splashing in the water!

Father's Day

For Father's Day this year we got John a hammock. We've been saying for years how nice it would be to have one, so I thought it would be a great gift. He really liked it--and so does Will! Will did a great job keeping it a secret from John.

Cabela's Tour

We recently went on a tour of Cabela's with my MOMS Club. Cabela's is a huge outdoor super store, and it's one of Will's favorite places to go.

Tempe Marketplace

A couple weekends ago we were trying to come up with an idea for something to do, and John suggested we go to Tempe Marketplace. It's an outdoor mall about 20 minutes from our house. We hung out at Barnes & Noble for awhile, John and I had coffee and Will had a chocolate milk, then Will played in the splash pad at the mall. We had lunch from California Pizza Kitchen at a table by the splash pad...it was a beautiful day!

Mom, can you take my picture?

Will's loved having his picture taken lately, and I figure I need to jump on it while he's agreeable to it.

This first one was taken at Macy's. We were shopping with my mom and aunt, and my aunt was looking for a dress for my cousin's wedding this summer. Will saw this manequin and said, "Mom can you take my picture by this black guy?" ;)

I was taking pictures of some items to list on craigslist and Will wanted his picture taken again, while he was eating breakfast.

Miles and Cole

Earlier this week we met my friend Nancy and her kids Addison and Cole at AZ All Star Gym so the kids could play and we could hang out. It's a gymnastics gym that opens up for free play time during the week; Will loves going there! Nancy and I had the same due date for Cole and Miles, but Cole was born the day before Miles.

Swimming

My mom bought a little pool for the boys to have in our backyard. Will's had so much fun playing in it!

Botanical Gardens

Man, I have a lot of catching up to do here!! I really have no excuse other than having been lazy lately.

A couple weeks ago we went to the Desert Botanical Gardens with my mom to see their annual butterfly exhibit and the Dale Chihuly exhibit that was there for a few months. I love Chihuly artwork, and it was really cool to see his pieces intermingled with the gardens.

Our patio garden

I kill plants. There, I've come out and said it. Rarely does a plant survive under my care, although I did have two plants in college that seemed to thrive and even survived the move to AZ. Actually one was moved by my former roommate Joanne, then when she moved back to WA she left it in my care--it had been in our apartment in college. Anyway, Will had been asking to plant tomatoes recently, so when I found myself at Home Depot recently waiting for some paint to be mixed I went and looked at tomato plants. They were only $3 each, so I got one and a zucchini plant. We put them in planters on our patio, and so far so good! They've been in their new homes for over a week now and are still alive!! Actually I think they've even grown some! Amazing!
